Kaura (pronounced kay-aura) was born from the vision of infusing the aggressive power of hard, yet melodic rock with the haunting and ethereal sounds of ancient instruments. A sound that is epic and bittersweet yet uplifting, and calls to mind bands such as Tool, A Perfect Circle, Dredg, Macha, and Muse. The Los Angeles band released their debut album That Which Defines Us in September of 2011.
